About Demetrios Panayotidis

Demetrios Panayotidis is an artist, curator, and design director whose evolving practice moves through the intersections of memory, form, and tactile experience, with materials and their quiet narratives placed at the heart of each work.

2018 heralded a pivotal moment in his path; over the course of a workshop on Screen Printing on Fabric at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design in London, he experimented with printmaking—an experience that shaped his artistic practice and led him to discover his own fingerprint. Drawing from the past while gazing into the future, his work embraces a back-to-basics philosophy, forming a design language that evokes purity and a timeless, poetic sensibility.

In 2020, Demetrios Panayotidis founded his namesake atelier, a multi-disciplinary design studio that creates thoughtful objects, artworks, and publications, rooted in the inherent values of natural materials, geometry, and simplicity.

Since 2022, Demetrios Panayotidis has been the curator of The Greek Foundation, extending his vision into a thoughtful and deep exploration of heritage, material culture, and craft. Guided by autonomy and experimentation, his design approach unfolds through publications and curated objects developed in close collaboration with local artisans.
