Demetrios Panayotidis, also known as De Metry, is an artist, curator, and design director. From a young age, he was immersed in the world of fashion and manufacture of fabrics, while his family influenced, mentored and instilled him with a passion for arts and culture, infused with aesthetics. 2018 heralded a pivotal moment in his path; over the course of a workshop on Screen Printing on Fabric at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design in London, he experimented with printmaking and found his own artistic fingerprint. Drawing from the past and gazing into the future, his work expertly taps into the fields of design, fashion and art – erasing the barriers that usually separate these worlds.

In 2019, De Metry founded his namesake atelier, a multi-disciplinary design studio that creates lifestyle objects, fabrics, artworks and editions; embodying the intrinsic principles of natural materials, geometry and simplicity. The pieces within a growing range of product collections and collaborations signal a return to basics, where the design appearance aims to be genuine and simplified.
